Welcome to our study on John’s letters - believed to be written by the disciple John probably around AD70-90.
John is believed to have planted churches in Ephesus and was a leading future in the Asia Minor church (present day Western Turkey).
The Church Father Jerome wrote about the aged John in Ephesus, each week being carried to church and would give the same message:
“Little, children, Love another.” Eventually they asked him why he gave the same message each time. John replied “because it is the Lord’s
command, and if it is done, it is enough”(1)
These letters are naturally associated with the John’s gospel and as we study it you will find several links. So enjoy the journey with us and
the leadership pray God will enrich you through this study.
